The Kimball FFA Chapter has been having a very busy year. Last spring the new officers headed to COLT in Aurora NE, where they learned many new leadership skills.

They also had a close call with a tornado. They spent the summer doing a variety of things such as working on SAE’s, attending PEAK and working in the concession stand during the County fair. The start of the school year brought IMPACT where the chapter learned more ways to take advantage of FFA opportunities.

The Chapter also competed in Range Judging in Alliance and Land Judging in Lodgepole.

The land judging team qualified for state and will be competing in Scottsbluff Nov. 5th.

Our next adventure came in preparing for the National Convention in Indianapolis where the senior Parliamentary Procedure team represented the State of Nebraska in the national competition.

Two members also received their American Degrees and one student played piano on the main stage during a session.

Future plans for the Kimball chapter include finishing strong at the district and state levels in several competitions. The members are currently preparing for the District Leadership Skill Events which will be held December 10th in Chadron.
