The participants had to judge 24 range plants, three range sites, a ranch map problem and answer questions in range management.

Congratulations to the Valentine FFA District Range Judgers. There were a total of 63 senior FFA members and 92 junior FFA members that participated in the district contest at Mullen.

In the senior division Heather Harms tied for 1st place, Kari Qualley placed 19th, Carter Haase placed 27th, and Tana Breuklander placed 28th. The Valentine Senior team of Elizabeth Medema, Heather Harms, Kari Qualley, and Katie Luthy placed 5th.

In the junior division Marissa Grooms placed 35th, Amanda O’Kief placed 39th, and Benjamin M. Shelbourn placed 40th. The Valentine Junior team of Marissa Grooms, Amanda O’Kief, Duste Kramer, and Makenzie Leonard placed 15th.

Congratulations to the Valentine FFA State Range Judgers that compted on October 1, 2008. There were a total of 163 senior FFA members and 248 junior FFA members that participated in the state contest at Burwell. Carter Haase placed 25th, Dani Breuklander placed 48th, Heather Harms placed 61st, and Kathleen Aschoff placed 68th.

The Valentine Senior team of Carter Haase, Heather Harms, Kari Qualley, and Tana Breuklander placed 14th.
