The Denison (IA) FFA chapter activities are diversified to cover the many different interests of all FFA members. Denison FFA members participated in a chapter-sponsored trap shoot on October 26 at the Izaak Walton League. This was a new event that was added to the program of events for the chapter.
Thirty FFA members attended the trap shoot. Each member had a 10-shot warm-up followed by an Annie Oakley Shootout. Three members shoot at a time; if the first person misses and the second person hits, the first person is out.
Another situation is if the first two miss and the third hits both of the first people are out.
The senior winner of the shootout was Andrew Vary, junior was Dakota Miller, and winner of the sophomore and freshman competition was Nate Ketelsen.
FFA member Zach Adams said, “It was a great day to hang out with friends and it was a fun new thing for the FFA to do.”
The FFA thanks the Izaak Walton League and Craig Bogatzke for organizing and helping with the FFA event.
